Juventus will be looking to climb back to the top of the Serie A table when they host lowly Udinese this Sunday.
Juve are currently second in the table having suffered their first defeat of the season last time out away at Lazio. They now sit two points behind leaders Inter but they could regain top spot before Antonio Conte’s side play on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, their opponents Udinese sit in 16th place having won only once in their last five games. They are four points clear of the bottom three after drawing 1-1 with Napoli last time out.

Sarri will have to deal with a few selection issues this Sunday due to injuries and suspensions. Both Juan Cuadrado and Miralem Pjanic are suspended following the Lazio game, while Giorgio Chiellini and Sami Khedira remain out with long term injuries.
Douglas Costa, Aaron Ramsey, Rodrigo Bentancur and Matthijs de Ligt are battling injury concerns but should be available for selection. The final problem for the former Chelsea boss is deciding who will partner Cristiano Ronaldo up top with both Gonzalo Higuaín and Paulo Dybala fighting for that spot.
For the visitors, on loan Watford man Ken Sema and Mato Jajalo are the only two that are sidelined for the affair.
They picked up no new injury concerns in their 1-1 draw with Napoli so it is likely that they will continue with the same XI. This means another Watford loanee in Stefano Okaka will lead the line alongside Kevin Lasagna.
|Juventus||Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, De Ligt, Sandro; Bentancur, Rabiot, Can; Bernadeschi; Ronaldo, Dybala.|
|Udinese||Musso; De Maio, Troost-Ekong, Nuytinck; Ter Avest, De Paul, Mandragora, Fofana, Larsen; Okaka, Lasagna.|
Head to Head Record
Juventus have dominated this fixture having won 19 of the 27 games played between the two sides. Udinese have won five while there have been three draws.
Last time out, I Bianconeri breezed past this weekend’s opponents 4-1 thanks to a brace from Moise Kean.
The Old Lady suffered their first loss of the season last time out as they succumbed to a 3-1 away defeat to Lazio. Prior to that, they had won 11 of their 14 Serie A matches including an away win over leaders Inter.
One of those draws did come in the fixture before the Lazio loss, as they draw 2-2 at home to Sassuolo. Their good form in Serie A has translated into Europe where they topped their Champions League group.
Udinese haven’t won any of their last four Serie A games but did manage to draw with Napoli in their last league fixture. Their last league win came away at 18th placed Genoa as they secured an important 3-1 win.
Here are both side’s last five results.
|Bayer Leverkusen 0-2 Juventus (11/12)||Udinese 1-1 Napoli (7/12)|
|Lazio 3-1 Juventus (7/12)||Udinese 4-0 Bologna (Coppa Italia 4/12)|
|Juventus 2-2 Sassuolo (1/12)||Lazio 3-0 Udinese (1/12)|
|Juventus 1-0 Atlético Madrid (26/11)||Sampdoria 2-1 Udinese (24/11)|
|Atalanta 0-1 Juventus (23/11)||Udinese 0-0 SPAL (10/11)|
Juventus will want to and need to bounce back after suffering that loss to Lazio. It is even more important as they have the chance to go back to top spot before Inter play in the evening.
Udinese will be a relatively tough challenge and won’t be easy to break down. However, Juventus’ star power will be too much for them to withstand.
Juve to go back to the top of Serie A with an assured win over a relegation threatened Udinese.
Prediction: Juventus 3-0 Udinese
