With Alex Sandro the only natural left-back in the Juventus squad at the moment, Maurizio Sarri will likely be aiming to bolster his options in the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian has shown to be an exceptional full-back for Juve, though it seems too much to ask of one player to be competing across all competitions for the full duration of the season.
Mattia De Sciglio has appeared five times at left-back this season for the Old Lady, but at times looks uncomfortable being naturally right footed.
With rumours now emerging of Sandro’s potential departure, here are a look at four left-backs Juve could target this summer…
Jose Gaya

A product of Valencia’s youth academy, Gaya is the definition of a complete wing-back.
He is comfortable utilising his pace in more attacking roles down that left hand side, and his defensive awareness and tenacious tackling style make him a nightmare in a one-on-one duel.
The 24-year-old has made 213 first team appearances for Valencia, solidifying his status as one of their key starters.
His impressive club performances have led to his involvement in the Spanish national setup, making his debut in 2018 against Croatia and winning six more caps for La Roja since.
Potential Price: £50m
Alex Grimaldo

Having been deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona, Grimaldo kickstarted his young career in Portugal.
The Benfica star has superb technical ability, something that is becoming more common in defenders this modern footballing era.
A dynamic two-way player, Grimaldo operates primarily as a left wing-back, though his vision and passing ability could easily see him deployed as a midfielder.
The 24-year-old is also a dead-ball specialist, his ability to strike the ball from open play has also seen him score some screamers from range.
Juventus will almost certainly face competition for the Spaniard if they move for him.
Potential price: £31m
Alex Telles

Porto’s explosive Brazilian left-back Alex Telles would be another more than suitable candidate for Juventus.
With his contract up next summer and having recently rejected an extension, Telles is on his way out, with PSG reportedly stealing a march on their rivals in the race for his signature – but it’s not official yet.
A consistent performer and regular starter at Porto, Telles will be looking to make a move to one of Europe’s top clubs in order to challenge for a starting spot for Brazil.
Potential Price: £25m
Emerson Palmieri

With Chelsea in the market for a new left-back, it looks increasingly likely that Emerson will leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Having rubbished rumours that he is unhappy in London, Emerson has found it difficult to earn a starting spot under Frank Lampard.
After working with him last season, Sarri is thought to be a keen admirer of the 25-year-old as he looks to bolster his options.
Potential price: £22m
